About the Role
The Traditional Chinese Language Manager ensures high-quality localization of Meta products for the Taiwan market. Responsibilities include reviewing UI content, managing translation vendors, and maintaining glossaries. This role requires native Traditional Chinese fluency and 5+ years of localization experience.Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing, editing and/or translating high visibility UI content and high priority long-form content
- Performing localization screenshot testing in Traditional Chinese (for Taiwan) to identify linguistic and functional issues
- Collaborating with product teams and performing hands-on linguistic testing on web and mobile devices
- Closely monitoring vendor translation quality through our quality framework and managing translation vendors' performance
- Maintaining the localization glossaries, style guides, and Translation Memory for owned content
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Native fluency in Traditional Chinese (for Taiwan) and business proficiency in English
- 5+ years of experience in English-to-Traditional Chinese (for Taiwan) translation and product UI localization
- Familiarity with the popular and social trends from Taiwan
Nice to Have:
- Cross-functional experience working with engineers, product teams and regional stakeholders
- Experience in AI, AR, VR, smart home devices, or related technologies
- Experience in hardware localization and testing
- Experience in localization of gaming content
- Experience in localization of online and mobile products
- Experience in localization program and/or project management
- Familiarity with CAT tools
- Familiarity with digital marketing
- Knowledge of additional languages other than your native language and English
