About the Role
Technical Support Engineer role focusing on messaging protection and cybersecurity for Microsoft's Customer Service & Support team. The position involves troubleshooting customer technical issues, collaborating across teams, and developing expertise in email threat protection technologies. This is a flexible remote position requiring a proactive cybersecurity mindset.Key Responsibilities
- Own, investigate and solve customer technical issues
- Collaborate within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices
- Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles
- Develop technical and professional proficiency through training and readiness
- Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately for resolution
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field AND 1+ years technical experience
- OR 3+ years of technical support, consulting, or IT experience
- OR equivalent experience
- CyberDefender Mindset - proactive, collaborative, customer-centric cybersecurity approach
Nice to Have:
- Chinese Proficiency
- CISSP, Comptia Security+, ISC2 CC, BTL1/2 or equivalent certifications
- Customer Service Foundations training or experience
- 3+ years experience supporting enterprise level premier customers
- Experience with Exchange or Office 365 (Exchange Online)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features
