About the Role

Technical Support Engineer role focusing on messaging protection and cybersecurity for Microsoft's Customer Service & Support team. The position involves troubleshooting customer technical issues, collaborating across teams, and developing expertise in email threat protection technologies. This is a flexible remote position requiring a proactive cybersecurity mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own, investigate and solve customer technical issues
  • Collaborate within and across teams using troubleshooting tools and practices
  • Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles
  • Develop technical and professional proficiency through training and readiness
  • Identify potential product defects and escalate appropriately for resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field AND 1+ years technical experience
  • OR 3+ years of technical support, consulting, or IT experience
  • OR equivalent experience
  • CyberDefender Mindset - proactive, collaborative, customer-centric cybersecurity approach

Nice to Have:

  • Chinese Proficiency
  • CISSP, Comptia Security+, ISC2 CC, BTL1/2 or equivalent certifications
  • Customer Service Foundations training or experience
  • 3+ years experience supporting enterprise level premier customers
  • Experience with Exchange or Office 365 (Exchange Online)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features
