About the Role

Technical Support Engineer Compliance role at Microsoft focusing on cybersecurity and compliance solutions. Responsibilities include troubleshooting customer issues, improving products, and mentoring peers. Requires expertise in Purview Compliance, Exchange, and enterprise support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implements strategic business decisions with customers and partners
  • Contributes to automation techniques and diagnostic tools for cross-group effectiveness
  • Provides feedback to product groups for product improvement and participates in case triage
  • Acts as an advisor to customers on complex, escalated cases and creates technical articles
  • Performs complex product troubleshooting and collaborates with development teams for incident resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 3+ years of technical support/consulting/IT experience OR 5+ years of technical support/consulting/IT experience
  • Business level fluency in English (read, write, speak)
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud background check
  • 3+ years of experience providing support for enterprise level premier customers

Nice to Have:

  • Ability to work with a CyberDefender Mindset (proactive cybersecurity approach)
  • CISSP, Comptia Security+, ISC2 CC, BTL1/2, GSIF/GCIC/GCED/GSEC, PSAA, Kepner-Tregoe or equivalent certification
  • Customer Service foundational knowledge or training/experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical and business issues
  • Proficient skills in organization, time management, project management, and negotiation
  • Working knowledge of Purview Compliance (eDiscovery, Auditing, DLP, Secure Labels, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with Exchange or Office 365 (Exchange Online and Purview Compliance)
