About the Role

The System Development Engineer at ShipTech Analytics builds and maintains data processing and analytical capabilities for Amazon's shipping operations. They develop interactive dashboards, ensure platform reliability, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions. This role focuses on scalable analytics applications that support operational excellence and strategic decision-making.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the analytics platform
• Ensure compliance and data governance for sensitive information

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design, or experience in development in the last 3 years
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
• Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
• Experience with explainable machine learning and artificial intelligence methodologies and tools
• Experience building web applications with React and modern web technologies
