About the Role

This role is a Technical Support Engineer focusing on SQL and Azure SQL MI, providing advanced troubleshooting and customer support for complex technical issues. Responsibilities include managing escalated customer problems, collaborating with internal teams, and creating technical content. The position requires shift work and on-call rotations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and develop solutions for complex technical issues
  • Manage escalated customer problems and maintain ownership until resolution
  • Collaborate with Microsoft groups and partners to resolve critical issues
  • Create advanced online technical content like Knowledge Base articles
  • Present technical content to customers, partners, and stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM field with computing element
  • At least three years of Technical Support experience with Azure SQL MI, Connectivity, Backup, Restore, Performance, and Replication
  • MS SQL Server or Azure SQL DBA experience
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and multiple customer issues

Nice to Have:

  • Coding experience with C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, python, Scala, or Node.js
  • Experience with High Availability & DR solutions like AlwaysOn Availability Groups
  • Understanding of Database properties and advanced configuration options
