About the Role

The AGI team seeks a Senior ML Engineer to develop novel LLM training techniques and customization capabilities like fine-tuning and distillation. You will collaborate with Applied Scientists, leverage Amazon's data and compute resources, and deliver scalable AI products in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to process data and scale machine learning models
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high-quality software

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers
