About the Role

The AGI team seeks a Senior ML Engineer to develop novel LLM training techniques and customization capabilities like fine-tuning and distillation. You'll collaborate with Applied Scientists, leverage Amazon's computing resources, and build scalable AI products in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of novel LLM training techniques and optimizations
• Collaborate with Applied Scientists to process data and scale machine learning models
• Investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility
• Work in Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software
• Build customization capabilities such as fine tuning and distillation for multimodal LLMs

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
