About the Role

The Sr Operations Manager role at Amazon's AGI team involves leading large teams to develop and manage speech and language solutions. Responsibilities include creating operating plans, implementing scalable processes, developing talent, and improving operational metrics. This senior leadership position focuses on driving innovation in AI/ML data operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal partners to build input-focused operating plans for achievement of key measures
• Develop, implement, or change processes to allow the team to scale at an accelerated pace while managing cost
• Implement bar-raising programs aimed at hiring and developing top talent and build career development roadmaps
• Achieve site-wide improvements in Operations, Quality, Productivity, Cost, Customer experience and People metrics
• Work with Operations Engineering leadership to articulate feature requirements for associate tool sets and business logic

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or Operations related fields
• Experience in leading large teams to high levels of performance
• Experience as a project owner/sponsor for strategic step change initiatives
• Experience in developing future leaders and creating tailored succession plans

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree or MBA
• Familiarity with machine learning
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse talent and build consensus on difficult issues
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified
