About the Role

Senior Data Architect role at AWS focusing on Data Lake and Analytics. The position involves leading complex cloud data projects, designing scalable solutions, and guiding customers through data transformation initiatives using AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects with autonomy, involving multiple teams
• Design and deliver solutions for high complexity, scale, and performance
• Create and apply frameworks, methods, and best practices for customers
• Guide customers' technical architecture and investments on AWS platform
• Help define target business outcomes and lead projects to exceed goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 8+ years of IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role
• 5+ years of Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation, including 3+ years hands-on with Hadoop/Spark
• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in enterprise environments
• Experience with analytic solutions applied to Marketing or Risk needs of enterprises

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a Chief Data Architect role or similar
• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, or Math
• Hands-on experience leading large-scale global data warehousing and analytics projects
• Understanding of database and analytical technologies including MPP, NoSQL, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting
• Implementation and tuning experience using Amazon Elastic Map Reduce (EMR)
