About the Role

The Software Solution Engineer is a technical sales role at Microsoft focused on helping enterprise developers adopt AI-powered tools across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities include driving engagements through hands-on activities like hackathons and PoCs to boost developer productivity and integrate AI into workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and run hands-on engagements including hackathons, code-with sessions, and architecture workshops to accelerate adoption of Microsoft’s developer tools and cloud platforms.
• Build trusted relationships with co-designing secure, scalable architectures and solutions.
• Drive technical sales with decision makers using demos and PoCs to influence solution design and enable production deployments.
• Resolve technical blockers and objections, collaborating with engineering to share insights and improve products.
• Represent Microsoft at developer community events and conferences.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 2+ years enterprise development, technical pre-sales, or technical consulting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience
• Understanding of one or more modern languages like JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or Java, and frameworks such as .NET, Node.js, or React
• Ability to drive technical engagements (e.g., hackathons, PoCs, MVPs, community events) that lead to production-scale outcomes

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on expertise with GitHub, GitHub Copilot, Visual Studio Code or equivalent tools
• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and platform engineering (e.g., observability, security, performance)
