About the Role

This role is for a Software Engineer with AI background to build GenAI-powered tools for Amazon's global shopping expansion. The engineer will integrate GenAI technologies into existing products and workflows to enhance productivity and automation. Responsibilities include designing frameworks, collaborating with teams, and establishing best practices for GenAI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement frameworks for GenAI integration into products and workflows
• Collaborate with engineering and applied science teams to identify automation opportunities
• Establish best practices and guidelines for GenAI development across the organization
• Develop reference architectures and technical guidelines for GenAI feature integration
• Drive adoption of GenAI solutions through demonstrations, workshops, and documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Professional software development experience focusing on AI/ML technologies
• Design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience with at least one software programming language
• Experience with GenAI platforms and services (e.g., Anthropic, Bedrock, OpenAI), Prompt Engineering, and AI Agents

Nice to Have:

• Full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, and testing
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent
• Experience with Data Engineering pipelines, including Vector Databases (e.g., OpenSearch, PGVector)
