About the Role

This SAP ABAP Software Engineer role at Microsoft involves designing, coding, and testing features for financial commerce platforms within the Commerce + Ecosystems division. The engineer will work on SAP BTP development using RAP/CAP models, implement procurement solutions with Ariba integration, and utilize CI/CD practices in a data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop large-scale distributed software services and solutions
• Practice Agile software development with telemetry/instrumentation for decision-making
• Adhere to sound software engineering practices through design reviews and code reviews
• Design and implement SAP ecosystem aligning with business requirements and strategy
• Lead adoption of new technologies, tools, and processes from Microsoft and industry

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• 5-8 years hands-on experience in SAP BTP development using RAP/CAP programming models
• Experience in SAP ABAP Programming including Advanced ABAP OOPS, OData, Restful ABAP, SAP Workflow, SAPUI5, Fiori
• Working experience in custom development for Procurement (Source to Pay) modules
• Experience implementing SAP Ariba integration with SAP S/4HANA

Nice to Have:

• SAP BTP certification
• ABAP on HANA and S/4HANA Implementation or SoH experience
• Experience of Ariba Buying & Invoicing (B&I) Implementation
• Knowledge in developing solutions in Microsoft Azure Platform
• Exposure to AI/ML/GPT
