About the Role

Software Engineer II role focused on building AI-native cloud applications and microservices using custom and foundation models. Responsibilities include architecting Agentic AI systems, applying AIOps for observability and auto-remediation, and integrating tools for LLM interaction. The position requires experience with distributed services, cloud platforms, and programming languages like Python or C#.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and ship scalable, AI-native cloud applications and microservices
  • Architect Agentic AI systems with goal-driven behavior and multi-step reasoning
  • Integrate MCP servers to expose internal tools and APIs to LLMs
  • Apply AIOps for intelligent observability, anomaly detection, and auto-remediation
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership including architecture, design, and code reviews

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience with Distributed Services
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check

Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience
  • 2+ years of experience building scalable, efficient, and reliable cloud services
  • Experience with systems design, architecture, and writing unit tests and integration/end to end tests
  • Experience working with cloud computing platforms like Azure, AWS
  • Experience in container ecosystems, including Kubernetes, Docker
  • Understanding of code coverage, data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded, asynchronous programming patterns
  • Proficiency in Agile software delivery utilizing GitHub Copilot/Agents and Azure DevOps Service
  • Deep understanding of LLMs, Agentic AI frameworks (e.g Semantic Kernel), and orchestration patterns
  • Familiarity with AIOps practices, including anomaly detection, observability, and auto-remediation strategies
