Software Engineer II role focused on building UI features for the Azure Portal, a large-scale web application used by millions. The position involves working with stakeholders to determine requirements, creating and implementing code, and contributing to design documents. Key Responsibilities

• Works with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features
• Contributes to design documents for a product area with little oversight
• Creates and implements code for products, services, or features
• Breaks down larger work items into smaller ones and provides estimation
• Acts as DRI to monitor system for issues and restore service

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C#, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript OR equivalent experience
• 2+ years of software development experience
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Master's Degree with 3+ years experience OR equivalent
• 2+ years of entrepreneurial initiative and self-starter attitude
• 2+ years of effective communication and collaboration across groups
• 2+ years of hands-on development building large-scale web applications using frameworks like React, Knockout, or Angular
