About the Role

Software Engineer II role at Microsoft's CoreAI team focusing on enhancing developer productivity through large-scale build systems. Key Responsibilities

• Works with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features
• Contributes to design documents and identifies dependencies
• Creates and implements code for products or services
• Breaks down larger work items into smaller tasks and provides estimations
• Acts as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for system monitoring and issue resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C# OR equivalent experience
• 1+ year of experience building testable, distributed, and highly scalable online services on Azure or similar cloud platform
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 3+ years experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience programming on Windows and Unix
• Experience working on Engineering Systems
