About the Role

Software Engineer II role at Viva Glint (Microsoft) building full-stack components for an employee engagement platform. You'll work with modern engineering practices to create scalable, efficient, and high-performing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused features while driving engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features
• Contribute to design documents and identify dependencies for product areas
• Create and implement code for Viva Glint services and features
• Break down larger work items into smaller tasks with estimations
• Act as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for on-call monitoring and system restoration

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
• 2+ years experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs
• 2+ years experience with REACT and Angular
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years experience
• 3+ years experience shipping production client software
• 3+ years experience building highly performant web applications
• Experience building, delivering, and maintaining web applications or services (Azure or comparable cloud)
