About the Role

The Software Development Engineer at Amazon's Selection Monitoring team builds large-scale systems to expand Amazon's catalog using AI and distributed computing. Responsibilities include designing frameworks for entity management, solving complex data problems, and mentoring engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Sr Engineers to drive technical and architectural vision for systems generating structured domain entities
• Design and build systems and extensible frameworks for lifecycle management of domain entities and relationships
• Solve complex problems in automated identity generation, web-to-Amazon namespace translation, and product classification
• Build scalable platforms to process external data requests and fulfill them automatically
• Lead design and development of solutions for efficient storage and vending/search of products and information

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling) experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
