About the Role
Site Reliability Engineer II role at Microsoft's Cloud & AI organization, focusing on building and managing secure infrastructure for the Red Team. Responsibilities include automating ephemeral attack infrastructure, managing isolated productivity environments, and ensuring security compliance. The role requires experience in security engineering and SRE/DevOps practices.Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support automation for deploying attack infrastructure for offensive security teams
- Design, implement, and support isolated identity and productivity environments for sensitive operations
- Build and support centralized engineering and DevOps systems for red team developers
- Establish and apply security hygiene and monitoring policies meet Microsoft security requirements without preventing offensive operations
- Support red team operations with infrastructure needs as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration OR equivalent experience
- 1+ years of experience in security engineering, threat modelling, review, or design
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Nice to Have:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, Developer, or DevOps engineer
