About the Role

Senior Software Engineer role in Azure Networking's WAN Edge team focused on building intelligent systems using agentic AI workflows to automate large-scale network operations. The position involves designing and implementing solutions to support AI workload growth across Azure's global network while collaborating across teams to deliver features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build intelligent systems using agentic AI workflows to automate network operations
• Create and implement code for products, services, or features
• Develop agentic AI workflows to automate NOC operations for Azure Networking
• Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features
• Act as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for system monitoring and problem resolution

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience
• Technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• Experience with AI and agentic workflows (developing agents)
• Familiarity with network operations automation

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field OR equivalent experience
