About the Role

Lead site reliability engineering for Microsoft Defender's cloud security products within US Government clouds. Manage operational support, reliability strategy, and automation to protect against evolving cyber threats. Requires active Top Secret clearance and experience with large-scale cloud systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead reliability strategy for critical systems and services
• Build and scale automation for monitoring and deployment
• Drive operational excellence using telemetry and service-level data
• Foster engineering partnerships with product and security teams
• Grow and empower SRE teams through mentorship and development

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 2+ years technical experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years technical experience OR equivalent experience
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret Security Clearance
• U.S. citizenship verification required
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check

Nice to Have:

• Doctorate Degree AND 3+ years technical experience OR Master's Degree AND 6+ years OR Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years
• 3+ years experience with large-scale cloud or distributed systems
• 1+ year people management experience
