About the Role
Senior Service Engineer role in Azure Customer Experience team, focusing on customer communications during high-severity incidents. Responsibilities include translating technical details into clear updates, managing on-call communications, and driving automation and data analytics for service reliability. Requires 5+ years of technical experience in cloud operations and strong communication skills.Key Responsibilities
- On-call communication management during incidents
- Translate complex technical findings into clear customer updates
- Design and implement automated detection systems for incident impact
- Develop tools and analytics pipelines for real-time incident assessment
- Build and support no-code/low-code solutions to optimize operations
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field AND 5+ years of technical experience
- Hands-on experience implementing AI-driven solutions and automation
- Proven experience in cloud operations, incident & crisis management, or large-scale systems engineering
- Excellent problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- 5+ years of experience as an Incident Commander or Crisis Manager for high-severity incidents
- Exposure to chaos engineering, fault injection, or high availability architecture
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or ITIL/SRE certifications
