About the Role
Senior Quantum Hardware Engineer focusing on thin films development to advance quantum hardware. Responsibilities include designing test structures, evaluating device performance, and applying statistical analysis to improve manufacturability. Requires expertise in semiconductor physics, device fabrication, and coding in Python or Matlab.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research to improve thin film deposition processes for dielectric, metal, and superconducting materials
- Collaborate with engineering and quantum measurement teams to integrate new thin film deposition processes into manufacturing
- Ensure thin film deposition processes meet industry standards and safety regulations
- Design and implement test structures and programs to validate advanced design rules for quantum devices
- Integrate yield insights into upstream workflows through cross-functional collaboration and simulation validation
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field with 6+, 4+, or 1+ years of experience respectively, or equivalent
- Experience using AI to streamline research and manufacturing processes
- Deep understanding of semiconductor physics, device fabrication, and solid state chemistry
- Experience developing code in high-level languages (e.g., Python, Matlab) in a version-controlled environment (e.g., Git)
Nice to Have:
- Doctorate with 3+ years, Master's with 6+ years, or Bachelor's with 8+ years of experience in related fields
- 8+ years of industry experience in semiconductor processing fundamentals (lithography, wet etch, dry etch, etc.)
- Deep experience with statistical Process Control (SPC) or Design of Experiments (DOE) principles
