Senior Quantum Applications Architect role developing algorithms and applications for fault-tolerant quantum computers at Microsoft. - Design algorithms and applications for fault-tolerant quantum computers
- Develop toolsets for modeling quantum applications on various hardware architectures
- Develop techniques for quantum circuit compilation and optimization
- Drive cross-group collaboration within Microsoft Quantum teams
- Contribute to career growth through collaboration with world-class engineers and researchers
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- Doctorate in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field with 1+ years experience OR Master's with 3+ years OR Bachelor's with 4+ years OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years experience in high-performance computing, quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum simulation
- 4+ years experience in collaborative environment with strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements including Microsoft Cloud Background Check and citizenship verification
Nice to Have:
- Experience developing and implementing algorithms for quantum applications, preferably for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Experience with high-performance classical computing methods
- Skills in applied mathematics or related disciplines
