Senior Network Systems Engineer role at Microsoft focusing on designing and deploying network hardware for AI/ML infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Participate in architectural discussions for AI/ML networking performance
• Define system behavior and concept of operations for platforms
• Perform technology analysis and provide risk assessment
• Drive technical requirements ensuring solution scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience OR equivalent
• 5+ years experience in system level design across hardware development lifecycle
• 5+ years hands-on experience developing AI/ML networking for accelerator-based systems
• 5+ years experience working across multiple disciplines to identify risks and drive discussions

Nice to Have:

• 5+ years experience developing GPU, FPGA based accelerator platforms for AI/ML
• Proven track record of bringing up and deploying new hardware technology
• Knowledge of high-volume silicon, compute, storage, and/or networking design
• Understanding of Networking hardware (QSFP-dd cables, DACs, AECs, etc.)
• Ability to define validation test cases and troubleshoot network issues
• Understanding of AI Network, Network Collectives, and Ultra Ethernet
• Knowledge about datacenters & operations at scale
• Experience managing hardware programs through product lifecycle
