About the Role

Senior Maintenance Manager leads a large maintenance team at Amazon's fulfillment centers to maximize equipment uptime and execute maintenance projects. Responsibilities include developing business plans, implementing reliability strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing safety practices. The role requires extensive experience in facility management, leadership, and technical expertise in maintenance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor site-based Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers
• Develop and implement Maintenance Department business plans and reliability strategies
• Drive maintenance best practices, safety standards, and key performance indicator analysis
• Manage budget development, capital planning, and vendor relationships
• Recruit, interview, and hire talent for maintenance roles

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 10+ years of managing large complex facilities organizations experience
• 7+ years of senior management and leadership responsibilities experience
• BS in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
• Previous corporate/regional Maintenance roles leading 80+ employees including salaried staff

Nice to Have:

• MBA or other Master’s degree and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Professional Engineering registration
• Exposure to Lean Concepts, TOC, layout design, and cost/benefit analysis
