About the Role

Senior Data Scientist role at Twitch focusing on providing deep product and user insights to drive engineering roadmaps and investments. You will partner with product managers and engineering leaders to build deep product expertise for Twitch's critical central services. The role involves tackling ambiguous, high-impact problems using statistics, computer science, and domain expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to design durable systems
• Tackle ambiguous, high-impact problems using statistical and analytical approaches
• Provide data-backed insights to support builder experiences across Twitch
• Create analytical frameworks to measure team success and define KPIs
• Operationalize data processes with automated dashboards and self-service reporting tools

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 6+ years of domain experience in consumer internet business or high-growth product unit
• Expert SQL skills with ability to leverage complex data pipelines
• Advanced proficiency in data analysis techniques including time series analysis and A/B testing
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics)

Nice to Have:

• Passion about online communities, games, and Twitch
• Experience working with software development and operational event data
• Experience with machine learning methods such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks
