About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in forecasting, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, and privacy-preserving AI
• Build scalable machine learning models for the Commerce Platform
• Define the scientific vision for ML/AI in the commerce platform
• Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver business impact
• Lead experimentation efforts for features, forecasting, and anomaly detection

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• 12 years of experience for Bachelor’s, 9 for Master’s, or 5 for PhD in applied ML R&D or allied areas
• Top-tier publications in ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, AAAI, ICML, ICLR, CVPR)
• Experience with ML frameworks, cloud platforms (Azure preferred), and big data technologies

Nice to Have:

• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and experimentation design
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to enhance engineering effectiveness
