About the Role

Senior Data Engineer role designing and managing scalable data infrastructure for Project Kuiper's Production Operations. Responsibilities include building data pipelines, feature stores, and data systems to support ML models, analytics, and decision-making. The role involves technical leadership, collaboration across teams, and solving novel problems at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement next-generation data systems for Kuiper Production Operations
• Build and manage feature stores for consistent data feature storage and retrieval
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and models to ensure data integrity and efficient access
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and monitoring for reliable data
• Provide technical leadership, mentor peers, and drive data best practices across Kuiper

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
• 5+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL and at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, NodeJS)

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent
• Experience operating large data warehouses
• Knowledge of data mining techniques, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling
