About the Role

Senior Cloud Solution Architect - Data Security role at Microsoft focusing on customer security transformation using Microsoft Purview. Responsibilities include driving adoption, providing technical architecture, and securing data estates against risks. This customer-facing role requires expertise in data security principles and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive customer satisfaction and act as trusted advisor, providing feedback to Microsoft teams
• Land end-to-end security value propositions like Zero Trust across Microsoft Security offerings
• Support customers through adoption lifecycle from planning to optimization and deployment
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and propose high-level solutions
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build implementation plans aligned with customer goals

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience
• Good understanding of Data Security principles: data classification, encryption, sensitivity labelling, information protection policies, exfiltration controls
• Experience in implementation of Data Security projects with Data Security Platforms, preferably Microsoft Purview (Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Information Risk Management)
• Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience OR Master's Degree AND 8+ years experience in relevant fields OR equivalent experience
• Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google, security certifications)
• 6+ years experience working in a customer-facing role
• 6+ years experience working on technical projects
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 services and/or Azure data services such as SharePoint, Teams, Office 365, SQL, Azure Data Lake Services
