About the Role

Senior Cloud Network Engineer role at Microsoft Azure Specialized team, designing and operating cloud-scale systems for specialized workloads. Responsibilities include network design, automation, troubleshooting, and mentoring engineers to deliver mission-critical solutions on Azure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement network solutions tailored to strategic goals
• Automation of complex workflows using scripting or networking tools
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor network performance and implement solutions
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations
• Project Leadership: Lead network-related projects and coordinate with stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 8+ years of experience in network engineering with complex systems
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, RIPv2, EIGRP)
• Hands-on experience with physical network devices (Cisco Nexus, Juniper, Arista)

Nice to Have:

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
• SD Networking and Architecture: VMware NSX, HCX
• Network Automation: Python scripting, PowerShell, auto-mitigation
