About the Role

Senior Cloud Network Engineer role at Microsoft Azure designing next-generation metro area networks to support AI growth. Responsible for network design, proof of concept execution, and troubleshooting production issues in one of the world's largest data center network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive design creation for metro area network for AI
• Execute proof of concept and pilot for new network design
• Work with tooling teams to codify new network design for operation readiness
• Participate in DevOps on-call rotation to troubleshoot production issues
• Lead design, network/code, and security reviews across teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• 4+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• 4+ years experience in network design for Data Center network or Metro/Wide Area Network
• 4+ years experience in networking technologies: network device hardware architecture, ASIC, optical technologies

Nice to Have:

• 8+ years technical experience in network design, development, and automation (with Bachelor's)
• 3+ years experience on large scale data mining and analysis
• Familiarity with network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
• CCNP or JNCIP certification
