About the Role

Senior Cloud Network Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Microsoft's Azure hyperscale physical network infrastructure. The role involves network design automation, live site accountability, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure reliable cloud and AI services.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements for network scenarios
• Drive identification of dependencies and develop design documents for network products and services
• Create, implement, optimize, debug, and refactor code to improve network performance and maintainability
• Act as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor systems and guide other engineers during incidents
• Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends to improve network availability and reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years thereafter
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field OR equivalent technical experience
• Experience delivering network designs into production with live site accountability

Nice to Have:

• Experience with network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
• Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
• Writing automation in Python, PowerShell or C#
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF and Anycast routing
