About the Role

Lead the Data and Algorithm teams at Amazon Japan's Transportation division to develop algorithms, heuristic models, and data-driven solutions for complex logistics challenges. Provide technical leadership, design architectures, and collaborate with engineering teams to optimize supply chain operations and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide model and solution for complex, high-business-impact challenges
• Lead the team from a technical standpoint and support other engineers
• Establish engineering and operational standards with the Manager
• Define metrics to measure team progress and data/solution quality
• Think strategically and make tradeoffs impacting organizational infrastructure

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Experience with SQL
• Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop
• 4+ year experience of System Engineer / Business intelligence Engineer or related field
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

Nice to Have:

• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or an equivalent quantitative field
• Knowledge of Algorithm, such as Graph Theory and Combinational Optimization
• Academic Contribution, such as accepting and presenting papers at peer-reviewed international conferences
• Experience to won Prize / Good Rating on Programming contest
• Experience of Developing Distributed Solution
