About the Role

The Senior Applied Scientist will develop state-of-the-art algorithms and models for advanced information retrieval and optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) for customer experiences. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in Generative AI and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art algorithms and models for advanced information retrieval
• Tune LLM-based prompting to optimize Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) for customer experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems in Gen AI
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate algorithm and model performance
• Communicate results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
• PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
• Experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as MxNet and Tensor Flow
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java or Perl
