About the Role

Lead a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers to develop LLM-based solutions and scale AI technologies for Amazon's eCommerce business. Drive innovation in ML and Generative AI to impact billions in revenue and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers
• Develop and maintain systems and tools to accelerate knowledge operations
• Push boundaries of ML and Generative AI techniques for eCommerce scaling
• Collaborate with research teams and manage project execution
• Leverage Amazon's data sources and computing resources for AI advances

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 10+ years of building large-scale machine learning and AI solutions at Internet scale
• Master's degree in Computer Science (Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent)
• Experience distilling informal customer requirements into problem definitions
• Experience hiring and leading experienced scientists and developing junior members

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, or equivalent)
• 5+ years of hands-on work in big data, machine learning and predictive modeling
• Experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive
