About the Role

The Senior Applied AI Architect partners with AWS customers to design and build scalable, flexible cloud architectures and solutions, focusing on generative AI and ML workloads. They collaborate with sales teams to accelerate AWS adoption and drive successful business outcomes through education, training, and solution implementation. The role involves using tools like Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock to solve novel problems and requires regional travel of 15-20%.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable cloud architectures and solutions for generative AI & ML workloads
• Collaborate with AWS Sales and teams to address customer business challenges and accelerate AWS adoption
• Educate customers on AWS value proposition and best practices for cloud-based solutions
• Author and contribute to AWS customer-facing publications like whitepapers, workshops, and proof of concepts
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable cloud advocacy

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
• 7+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
• Hands-on experience architecting and deploying full stack generative AI workloads to production systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience optimizing production generative AI or Hybrid AI workloads for cost, latency, and/or resilience
• PhD in Computer Science with specialization in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, or Natural Language Processing - or - Masters in Computer Science with strong AI/ML focus
• Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent
