About the Role

The Security Solution Engineer at Microsoft is a technical presales role focused on winning customer technical decisions for cybersecurity technology purchases. Responsibilities include leading technical demonstrations, designing security architectures, and driving sales through consultative technical selling. The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead as technical subject matter expert for cybersecurity within account teams
• Deliver proof of Microsoft's technology solutions and secure customer agreement on meeting success criteria
• Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof of concepts
• Own winning technical decisions at customers for sales opportunities and usage scenarios
• Orchestrate complex solutions with internal and external partners for multiple Microsoft products

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 7+ years of experience in technical presales or technical consulting roles
• Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent (e.g., SC-200, CISSP, CEH)
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 Security and Azure Security, cloud/hybrid infrastructures, and architecture designs
• Proven expertise in cybersecurity architecture including Zero Trust, SASE, data protection, and threat intelligence

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Experience with competitive product knowledge (e.g., Netskope, Symantec, Varonis)
• Knowledge of regulations like RGPD, NIS2, DORA
