About the Role

Centaur seeks a Product Engineering Lead to develop their mobile app DiagnosUs, which enables users to annotate datasets for AI training. The role involves full-stack development, code review, release management, and collaboration on product decisions. This is a senior position requiring startup experience and expertise in mobile app deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing backend code balancing speed and maintainability
• Reviewing iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) code for quality standards
• Managing releases to App Store and Google Play including handling rejections
• Shepherding changes across mobile frontends, backend, databases, and infrastructure
• Contributing to design and product decisions around feasibility and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years in full-time product engineering roles
• Team leadership experience
• Experience shipping production code at a fast-changing startup
• Experience submitting apps to App Store or Google Play and handling rejections

Nice to Have:

• 10+ years in full-time product engineering roles with team leadership
• Experience writing iOS and Android frontend code
• Experience with products dealing with payments and fraud
• Experience with obscure file formats
• Experience with non-standard security features like SSL pinning and app attestation
