About the Role

This role is for a Silicon Yield Product Engineer at AWS Annapurna Labs, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes and yield for machine learning accelerator chips. The engineer will analyze test data, develop automation systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and performance. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed data analysis of ATE, SLT, and System test data to optimize yield and test time
• Develop and maintain automation systems to compare yields across OSATs, testers, and setups
• Lead functional and structural test coverage improvements through DOE planning and characterization
• Design and maintain dashboards with automated alerts for monitoring key metrics
• Foster stakeholder relationships and drive corrective actions for yield and quality improvements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance with strong debugging skills
• Experience verifying at multiple levels of logic from IP blocks to SoCs to full system testing

Nice to Have:

• Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering or a related field
• Experience with formal verification techniques including abstraction and end-to-end checking
• Experience with ARM and various DSP ISAs
• Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular, WiMAX, 802.11ad, or related wireless standards
• Experience with industry standard tools and scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
