About the Role

Principal UX Designer role shaping AI-native business applications at AWS. Responsible for defining UX vision and strategy across multiple services, translating AI capabilities into human-centered experiences, and mentoring designers. Influences product direction and collaborates with science and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the UX vision and strategy across multiple services and solutions
• Set the bar for AI-native design by translating AI capabilities into human-centered experiences
• Influence product and business direction with senior leadership
• Define and drive cross-service design standards and reusable patterns
• Mentor and elevate the design org, coaching other designers

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 12+ years in UX design with experience leading large-scale, complex, customer-facing services
• Proven ability to define and execute design strategies at scale
• Excellent systems thinker capable of architecting frameworks across diverse services
• Demonstrated success influencing senior leaders and driving alignment across organizations

Nice to Have:

• Proven track record shipping AI-first or AI-powered products
• Experience designing for trust, transparency, and human-in-the-loop systems
• Ability to prototype and explore with LLMs, intelligent agents, or other AI frameworks
