About the Role

Lead the design and development of a scalable, distributed billing platform for Microsoft Azure. Drive architectural decisions for mission-critical systems that process high-volume usage data across all Microsoft services. Mentor engineers and ensure reliability, security, and performance of core components.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and validation of core platform components
• Drive architectural decisions for complex distributed billing systems
• Partner across teams to shape shared component design and technical direction
• Own and lead feature delivery end-to-end from requirements to deployment
• Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure service reliability

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 12+ years experience in software development/architecture
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed cloud services
• Strong operational discipline with ability to manage live-site health and deliver high-quality outcomes
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years

Nice to Have:

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 10+ years experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
