About the Role

Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems for Microsoft's experimentation and configuration platform. Drive technical strategy for AI-powered change management and incident analysis across M365, Copilot, and Azure. Mentor engineers and shape architecture for high-reliability experimentation and developer platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to determine user requirements for scenarios
  • Lead identification of dependencies and development of design documents
  • Drive project plans and work items across multiple groups using cross-product knowledge
  • Serve as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) mentoring engineers and monitoring systems
  • Lead technical strategy and architecture for ECS platform shaping experimentation and configuration future

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, developer platforms, or ML powered backend services

Nice to Have:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience
  • 3+ years deep technical focus in context modeling/embedding systems, intelligent developer assistants, or change management/reliability engineering
  • Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS), service orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines at global scale
