Principal Logic Design Engineer role at Microsoft's AI Silicon Engineering team, focusing on digital logic design for AI components. Key Responsibilities

• Logic design/RTL entry for AI components
• Ensure design quality including Lint, CDC, RDC, power
• Collaborate with verification team on implementation
• Interface with physical design, DFT, and other teams
• Provide technical leadership through mentorship

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Doctorate + 3+ years, Master's + 6+ years, or Bachelor's + 8+ years in EE/CE/CS or equivalent
• 8+ years expertise in digital logic design including RTL coding in Verilog/System Verilog
• 7+ years experience in synthesis, timing constraints, and PPA trade-offs
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check and export control requirements

Nice to Have:

• 15+ years experience in logic design delivering complex solutions
• 10+ years in floating point arithmetic, DMA design, or subsystem integration
• 5+ years leading logic design teams
• Multiple successful ASIC tape outs in deep sub-micron technologies
• Experience with Python or Perl scripting
• Experience working on AI/ML SoCs
