About the Role

AWS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their global data center engineering team, responsible for designing and innovating within their expanding data center footprint. The role involves analyzing piping and pipe supports for compliance, collaborating with internal and external partners, and driving continuous improvements in reliability and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and analyze piping and pipe supports to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and develop new data center product solutions
• Support field engineering and data center operation teams with root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Leverage economy of scale through standardization and modularization of data center products
• Maintain and develop technical design procedures for piping and pipe support analysis

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power generation, oil and gas)
• 4+ years of commissioning experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Nice to Have:

• Professional Engineer License
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment
