About the Role

This role is a Manufacturing Test Engineer position at Amazon Robotics, focusing on developing and implementing test strategies for complex robotic systems. The engineer will lead test solution design, drive technical decisions, and ensure product quality across manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy development and implementation for complex robotic systems
• Design and implement comprehensive test solutions for robotic arms and control systems
• Drive technical decisions for test infrastructure and automation frameworks
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contract manufacturers

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing test engineering
• Experience developing Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in at least one test development environment (Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or MATLAB/Simulink)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, OPC UA, Modbus) and PLC integration
• Experience designing test solutions interfacing with robotics platforms (e.g., FANUC, ABB, UR)
• Proven ability to utilize cloud-based data storage and analysis tools (e.g., AWS, S3)
• Experience with advanced vision libraries (e.g., Cognex, OpenCV)
• Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and quality management systems
