About the Role

Whisker Labs seeks a Manager of Quality Assurance to lead their QA team and improve quality assurance processes and tooling. The role involves implementing automated test suites for web portals and APIs, mentoring QA team members, and collaborating with scrum teams. This fully remote position focuses on products that detect electrical fire hazards to protect homes and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Assurance team, improving and establishing quality assurance processes and tooling
• Mentor and manage quality assurance team members, performing regular performance reviews
• Implement and execute automated test suites for web portals and APIs using frameworks like Cypress and Playwright
• Collaborate with scrum team and product to define and document test cases
• Utilize Jira and participate in daily scrum team standups to manage testing activities

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Minimum 3 years experience as a leader of a quality assurance organization with personnel management responsibility
• Minimum 7 years experience as a highly productive and hands-on quality assurance tester
• Strong proficiency in one or more UI test automation frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or TestComplete
• Proficiency implementing automated test suites in JavaScript and/or .Net C#
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience implementing automated test suites

Nice to Have:

• Experience integrating automated test suites with GitHub and build pipelines
• Experience with TestRail
• Experience with mobile app testing
