About the Role

This role is a Machine Learning Engineer II position within Amazon's Intelligent Talent Acquisition team, focusing on developing AI-driven solutions for fair and efficient hiring processes. You will work on state-of-the-art machine learning, deep learning, and LLMs to solve complex problems in talent acquisition, such as job-person matching and candidate evaluation, impacting hiring at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside applied and research scientists to solve complex machine learning problems
  • Develop AI-driven solutions for talent acquisition lifecycle including role creation, sourcing, and candidate evaluation
  • Utilize deep learning, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs) for recruitment at scale
  • Maintain capabilities like job-person matching, duplicate profile detection, and automated applicant evaluation
  • Focus on customer experience, teamwork, and communication to achieve results

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing
