About the Role

The Machine Learning Engineer will develop and optimize large language models and generative AI applications at Amazon's AGI team. Responsibilities include designing training algorithms, scaling models, and working with massive datasets. This role requires expertise in GPU optimization and collaboration with applied scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain platforms for LLM development, evaluation, and deployment
• Investigate design approaches and prototype new technologies
• Process massive data and scale machine learning models with optimization
• Optimize GPU workloads at the kernel level
• Lead development of modeling techniques for large model training

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for system reliability and scaling
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and algorithms in Generative AI

Nice to Have:

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience in kernel fusion, custom kernels, mixed precision training, and memory management techniques
