About the Role

The Language Engineer will design data collection tasks, analyze language insights, and build tools for AI systems. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance natural language processing and machine learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design data collection/creation tasks and coordinate efforts
• Analyze and extract language-related insights from large datasets
• Build tools for data analysis or authoring using scripting languages
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to evaluate language models
• Handle competing requests from data customers

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Master's or higher degree in computational linguistics or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in computational linguistics or language data processing
• Experience with language annotation and data markup
• Experience with scripting languages like Python

Nice to Have:

• PhD in Computational Linguistics or equivalent
• Experience in writing grammars and building FSTs
• Experience with statistical language modeling
