About the Role

The Director, AI Advisor - Startups role involves collaborating with early-stage startups to help them build and innovate using Microsoft's AI technology stack. Responsibilities include designing AI solutions with Azure AI services, providing technical enablement, and advocating for startup needs internally. This senior position requires expertise in Azure AI, programming, and experience working with startups.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver AI-powered solutions using Azure AI services
• Collaborate with startup founders and engineering teams to translate product vision into scalable AI architectures
• Lead workshops, design sessions, and build proofs-of-concept to demonstrate AI value
• Work closely with Microsoft teams to align startup needs with AI and cloud strategy
• Represent Microsoft at startup events and develop technical content for presentations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 2+ years of expertise in Azure AI services or equivalent cloud AI products with strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript
• 2+ years of demonstrated track record working with startups or fast-paced product teams with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience
• 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
• 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos, technical blogs)
• 1+ year(s) experience mentoring or advising startup teams on technical strategy
